They are twelve.
Twelve furious, twelve passionate who, since many months, have only one thing in mind : Saving C-47 #43-15073 and bring her back in Normandy at the scene of her past exploits. Long negotiations with Bosnia, collecting funds from their fellow citizens, travel arrangements, everything is planned to ensure the old C-47 a future worthy of what was her past. Skilled worker, British colonel, retired, winemaker, local representant, photographer, for weeks punctuated by good news and disappointments, they never lost hope.
Twelve volunteers : eleven men ready to board to dismantle a plane with a 95ft wingspan and bring her back on three trucks, and a woman who stays at the base in Normandy to ensure liaison and coordination of the operation.
