Saturday February 23rd : Volunteers fourth working session
All psyched up our volunteers showed up early this morning and got on with the work in separate teams. Erik starts painting the wheel boxes. In the meantime, Jean-Pierre and Philippe clog up the bullet holes made when the plane got strafed in Yugoslavia back in 1990. They patiently lay patches to be screwed the old fashion way.
Others clean up, scrape and brush the center wing and fuselage. Patrick is working on the engines with a Karcher water hose and end up soaking wet. There's so much to do and we're only getting on with the restoration. The weeks and monthes to come are just going to fly by. Will we be ready on time? We're all aware of this race against time, a race we cant afford to lose.
